2024 Fundraiser
Running Water for Living Water - November Marathon
Last year's marathon fundraiser was a huge success! Team RFTR (Running for the Reward, see right) placed first in their division and fundraised nearly an entire well. This year, they have even bigger goals.
The truth behind the run.
Last year, I ran in a relay marathon to fundraise for an organization called Running Water for Living Water. Three friends and I ran a collective 26.2 miles, placing first in our division and seeing enough money come in for an entire well to be given to a village! This was an incredible inspiration to me. Seeing the change God was doing through this organization is amazing, and so this year my friends and I want to be part of it!
The Running Water for Living Water marathon is, once again, taking place this year in November. But my friends and I have our sights set on God’s work, not our work. We aim to fund a well, run in the marathon, and then fly to Uganda to give the well to a village! The 9-day trip in March would include visiting/ministering with local churches, dedicating water wells, and serving people in the region with construction and livestock distribution. It’s a massive undertaking that requires a lot of planning, prayer, and support.

The trip goes through Running Water for Living Water’s mother organization, Global Partners in Peace and Development. They have connections with Ugandan churches, pastors, and well-digging equipment. We want to play a small part in the eternal impact we can have around the world with Global Partners! Please pray for us as we prepare. God is already setting aside work for us to complete, and we want to see God’s hand in mighty ways, both in Uganda and in our hearts. Finally, please prayerfully consider funding us on our journey. It’s what gives our team the practical legs to run the race set before us (pun intended). We’re facing $14,000+ in costs, including $2,600 for the well and $3,000 per person for the trip. Any contribution goes directly to our goal of supporting clean water, the gospel, and transformation in Uganda!
God bless!
